Professional Background and Qualifications
Lakiesha Sheaffer is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated healthcare leader with a strong foundation in both clinical practice and healthcare administration. She began her nursing career in 2010 in her hometown of Panama City, Florida, and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing and Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Lakiesha brings over four years of critical care experience from the Coronary Care Unit at Rogue Regional Medical Center, where she specialized in post-operative care for patients recovering from heart and lung surgery, heart failure management, and the use of advanced cardiac devices such as ventricular assist devices (VADs) and pacemakers.
Most recently, she earned her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Oregon Health & Science University, further equipping her to lead in today’s complex healthcare landscape. Lakiesha is passionate about patient-centered care, chronic disease management, and empowering individuals to take an active role in their health. She is proud to serve her community with compassion, clinical excellence, and a commitment to improving access to high-quality primary care.
